Insurance plans are first categorized by state. While Mahina Therapy operates in multiple states, our insurance contracts are state specific and not all plans are able to be billed in all states.
Within each state, insurance plans are then categorized by clinican level. Each insurance contract differs in their regulations for billing and not all clinicians are able to bill all insurance plans.
You'll see a separation between two categories:
All Clinicians: Providers are able to bill this insurance plan regardless of licensure level (i.e. student intern, associate license, full licensure).
Associate & Above Clinicians: Providers who hold an associate level license or who are fully licensed are able to bill this insurance plan (i.e. student interns are not able to bill this plan).

We are not currently able to bill any insurance plans outside of Oregon and Washington!
For all other insurances, Mahina Therapy PLLC can provide you with statements/superbills to present to your insurance company for reimbursal if you have mental health care coverage, and if the type of work we are doing fits your policy's regulations.
It is your responsibility to know what your insurance benefits may be- regardless if you are in-network or out-of-network. You will be liable for payment on any claims that are rejected by your insurance or for any balances that may be applied towards your deductible.

Individual Therapy: $200 / hour*
EMDR: $200 / hour
Brainspotting: $200 / hour
EMDR Intensive: $200 / hour
EMDR intensives are often scheduled as half-day (3 hours) or full-day (6 hours) blocks
Relational Services

Couples Therapy: $225/ hour*
Family Therapy: $225/ hour
Group Therapy: $55 / session
Couples Therapy Intensive: $225 / hour

Evaluations
Evaluations
Autism / ADHD Evaluation: $200 / hour*
Single diagnostic evaluations (Autism or ADHD) are typically completed within four to five hours ($800 - $1,000)
Combined diagnostic evaluations (Autism + ADHD) are typically completed within five to six hours ($1,000 - $1,200)
Gender-Affirming Support Letter: $200 / hour
Gender-affirming support letters are typically completed in a 1-hour appointment
Immigration Evaluations: $1,500
*A clinical hour is considered to be 53-minutes

Financial Assistance
Financial Assistance
At Mahina Therapy, we believe that access to mental health care should not depend on income. We are committed to reducing financial barriers whenever possible and do not automatically turn people away due to an inability to pay.
We offer a limited number of sliding scale and pro bono therapy appointments for individuals, couples, and families who are experiencing financial hardship.
Our financial assistance program includes:
Sliding scale fees based on household income and family size
A limited number of pro bono (no-cost) therapy spots
Short-term support while clients search for longer-term affordable care when needed
Because these spots are limited, they are offered based on availability and financial need. When all reduced-fee spots are full, we will do our best to help connect you with other low-cost resources in the community.
If cost is a barrier, we encourage you to reach out and let us know. Our team can talk with you about current availability and help determine what options may be possible.

Private and Group Practices - such as Mahina Therapy PLLC - are required to present clients with a 'Good Faith Estimate' of services to outline potential out of pocket costs for self pay and uninsured clients. We comply with this new law by covering the costs of services, the estimated number of sessions and reviewing this information at intake, reassessment and at expiration of sliding scale service agreements. If at any time you have questions about the status of your financial account, please let us know and we will be happy to discuss it with you further.

Mahina Therapy does accept Loveland Foundation vouchers from clients who have received financial assistance from the Loveland Foundation’s Therapy Fund.
